Is that the HR&CS car? If so congrats on making it! When I was talking to Ed who installed your glass he said the paint was practically dripping wet last week.

By the way, for analogy's sake, and from what I hear your car is more of a spork than a knife, being a combination of two things and all. Could surprise some people...

Three weeks ago it was in a million pieces, finally got it together, drove it around the block, stuffed it in a trailer, here we come.

Hey Matt, will the spork be competing against your car, which one is it?

It will be fun, I am headed up right after work today.

Regardless of how that car does at OUSCI, I want to tell you, that is one of my favorite cars at SEMA this year. Absolute attention to detail in every way. I hear the grill started out as a 600 pound block???? Just amazing, can't wait to see it on the road.

Thank you Bill,

The grille started out as a 680lb, then cnc'd down to about 50, the bumpers, door handles, steering wheel, dash vents, tons of cnc work.

Saw the car in person, but I need to go back when there isn't a line for Chip Foose in the way.

Chris, I've got a dark purplish '69 Camaro, which somehow managed to receive a GM design award. It was pretty well hidden at SEMA. Somewhere on this page there are completed pictures: https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?73233-Crazy-stupid-or-both/page4

As for Optima, sadly, I'm not going. I think the world has seen enough '69 Camaros. Plus there are a ton of guys out there faster and more deserving. It would have been fun, but it's probably better I didn't have the opportunity, seeing as the car is almost brand new, with all of 1 mile on it after it got hit by a lady running a red light. I'm not sure if you're local, or know north country San Diego at all, but the accident happened half a Mile from HR&CS on Mission Rd, so be careful!

Anyway, I hope all of you guys have fun out there Saturday. Drive your cars the way they were meant to be driven. Most importantly however, have fun and be safe out on the track!

I wish I was able to just go let alone compete. Maybe I can get my stuff together and try to find a way to get into this next year.
