you need to elaborate/clarify just a little more before you get any answer/help,

well if it's been sketchy for a while, my bet would be that the switch in the column or the flasher failed.

The lights (especially the rear) have poor grounds, make sure all of the light fixtures are getting a good ground. Make sure all of the bulbs are good(no broken filaments), the flasher needs resistance to make it flash, and it gets that from the filament in the bulb.

thanks all i will check all bulbs and fuses. its just kinda odd thay all flash with the hazards on. is the flashers in an area where i would be able to reach it? and to be clear we are NOT talking about the flasher on the fuse box correct?

the flasher unit on the fuse box are for the hazards...the turns are usually clipped to the instrument cluster or dash support bar.
turn the hazards on and listen for the ticking to be sure.
Im suprised you almost died....4 gazillion drivers never used their turn signals and they are ok.
I am in no way making fun of your situation, I m just sayin.

If both sides went out at the same time it is most likely the turn signal flasher itself, especially since the hazards are still working.

Check behind/above the ash tray......in that general area is where they stuff those flashers on 2nd gen camaros...I would think they would be in a similar area in your car.
