im usually a small block guy but I got a 454 for next to nothing so i'm trying to find out some info the block casting # is 361959 from what I have found on the web its a truck or car block from early 70's - mids 80's 454 the head castings are 336781 any info would be appreciated thanks

They should all be there, fairly comprehensive.

3691959 Car & truck 73-90. Could be either a two bolt or four bolt main.
336781 Oval port open chamber 73-85. A good casting that will flow well when tweaked.
Overall, a nice foundation for building a big block with some mild to serious HP.
