the center piston bores were messed up, they have a good size gap in the bottom, you can look in the hole and see the seal. Not sure what happened but I'll have new one's here on tuesday.

??? nobody noticed that when they were being installed? I usually inspect the components i install and for brake calipers I remove the bleeder and clean it up with brake cleaner, and then put it back together

Rick at Baer is amazing to deal with- if there's a problem he'll handle it ! I just installed some 6-Piston calipers- pads were already installed- I never pulled the pads to look at the pistons-

Good luck Telly- hopefully you are getting some sleep.

If you have time to come inspect my stuff your more than welcome, but in the 18 plus hours I've been working a day I didnt seem to think I needed to check them!

I would be interested in hearing more about the actual problem. It's a touch concerning to me as I have a set of the 14" Pro+ on order right now. If these were deformed enough to leak so significantly, I'm wondering how they would have passed a manufacturing inspection process at Baer.

If you could share any more information that you have on this, I for one wouldn't greatly appreciate it!

Good luck at SEMA Telly...

I don't know what happened to Telly's but I have ordered 5 sets of "14 6 Piston brake sets from Baer in the past few months- any issues (fitment) were quickly taken care of- Rick is a stand up guy- and Baer is a great product- We had one set that got ordered wrong and he over-nighted the correct ones- hope this helps! - Chris

a break?? you mean you don't inspect your parts??? Dude I worked for Steves Camaros (http://www.stevescamaroparts.com/) for years and then for Gotellis speed shop (http://www.gotellispeedshop.com/), I will say that manufactures make mistakes, and you should inspect all parts you install

I've heard nothing but good things about Baer's customer support, so I expect Telly to be well taken care of. That said, for a set of calipers to have this kind of problem is a bit concerning to me as I have the same set on order. So I'd like to hear more about how this happened, as I would expect anyone ordering or considering ordering a set of these would...

Yes, but I highly doubt I'd catch a out of round caliper piston with a dust seal!

I'm with Telly and Todd on this one. It would have never occurred to me that I would have to look for a problem like that.
