Actually that was a collection that peter maxx( famous painter) won on vh-1 a few years back,he was supposed to degin paint schemes for them but never got to it.

I never understood that story. Peter Max has money, why did they give him those cars? Did he enter a contest? Maybe its best , he would have painted then pink with recycled beatles imagery all over them.

I am not a vette guy really but dam he doesn't even give dam about cars I hate to see any good project go to waste!

Actually, the cars were won by another guy who then agreed to sell the entire collection to Peter Maxx. Maxx was supposed to paint the cars and make them into some sort of large psychedelic "work of art". Guess he never got around to it. Thank god.

Yeah Maxx bought the whole thing for like 1.5 mil I think. The reason why he has them is beacuse he saw all of them with a funny pain scheme in a dream. So wanting to make theat dream a reality be bought them in hopes of painting them like that. Up until now he hasn't have the time/space to do it. From what I rad it seems like he is pretty close to starting the project.

I understand people want to be differant but it's just a shame to see someone whould really has no love for cars/hisorty totallly ruin something like this. I mean only 300, 1953 corvettes were even made.

On a lighter note my dad and I went to a chevy dealership and he was |-this-| close to buying a 2002 vellow z06; that is until he call my mom....uhhhhhhhhhh!

Another article says he bought them for just under half a million. 1/3 of what the guy was originally asking for.
