Hello all, not so many builds from outside US here so I thought I´m gonna help that a little....
So here it goes, bought a 69 (blackplate car) in California a couple of years ago, a real nice rustfree car that was driveable...the car was very untouched over the years...only one repaint with white Z/28 stripes, and it still got the numbers matching tranny, the 350 in it was changed though.....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6301932-1.jpg
Here it is in the sellers garage the day I bought it....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6301934-1.jpg
The interior...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6301936-1.jpg
Pretty straight...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6301949-1.jpg
The old 350...this engine (and tranny) later founds it way into my 57 Bel Air...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6301950-1.jpg
The cowl tag...dusk blue car with white vinyl roof according to the numbers....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6301993-1.jpg
Here the car has arrived to Sweden in the spring of 2009, took thoose ugly 80-ish something wheels off and replaced them with a set of rallies that I had laying around....I also continued the Z/28 theme and got some new Z/28 emblems for the car.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302002-1.jpg
I then got the car thru Swedish inspection and got it registered.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302388-1.jpg
And after that some 18" Boyd wheels took place on the car and I drove the car the summer of -09...but with a completly standard 350 engine and tranny and drum brakes the car wasn´t that much of fun...it looked faster than it was but handled, accelrated and braked terrible, so something was got to be done ....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302408-1.jpg
So the teardown begins...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302410-1.jpg
I realized when I tore the car apart that the frontclip has never been off this car before, I found orginal paint between the front sheet metal parts...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302411-1.jpg
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302412-1.jpg
sighted some cray markings under the 40 year old dust....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302413-1.jpg
after cleaning...anyone know what "218" means?

car without the "sub". Now its was time to begin to look what was nessecary to do for the upgrades I have planned for the car....
I started to look at the brake booster...or the lack of...

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302436-1.jpg
I took one from a 4th gen Camaro and cut away the mounting bracket...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302441-1.jpg
I fabricated a new bracket to fit the the 69 firewall...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302443-1.jpg
I had to get the lever from the 69 that connects to the pedal and weld it to the new pushrod...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302444-1.jpg
here it is mounted in the car...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302445-1.jpg
I took a master from a C5 Corvette (a direct fit) cause the lines is routed to the left...the F-body master line output is towards the engine.
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/10/S6302446-1.jpg
I took the firewall sealing from the vette and cutted it down to fit my firewall.

pretty close to the inner fender mounting but there are a couple of millimeters space...

Guess I have to do something about that GTO lettering on the covers later on...
This is what I am at to this day, now I need to order a lot of stuff like headers, fuel system, rear end system (some kind of coilover setup) and a harness for the engine and so on....I´m going over to the States in about a month so I´m in the middle of research work now for everything I need to buy....

You need to use AME header's, they fit there sub frame great. Most other's don't.I used a 99 chevy 1/2 ton p/u truck fuel pump. its fits thur. the sender hole in the stock fuel tank.Speedway motors .com, lincoln ne, 1.800.979.0122 has the fuel reg./filter and fitting's cheaper than anybody else. Also have adapters for temp and oil senders. fuel lines and fittings cheaper also. I have the same AME/GTO T-56 in my 69 camaro.you can email me at
[email protected] and I can walk you thur. any help you will need.Spear tech did my ecm/harness.Scott.

That subframe is going to be light-years ahead in handling! of course the LS2/T56 is another tasty update.
If you have the entire GTO donor car, the back seats will look right at home, and the front seats are some of the most comfortable around (for the price).

So it has been a while since my last update here, but things is moving along, but not in the speed that I want it to do...(too much other projects)
anyway, here are some updates....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/09/S6304177-1.jpg
Fabricated some new engine plates at work...the old ones were just for mockup.

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/09/S6304256-1.jpg
Mounted the ecm and relay/fusebox on the innerfender...the ecm will be hidden later when the fender is muonted. The electrical for the engine I had to send away, used the GTO harness that was on the engine and had it reworked at Current Performance Wiring in Florida, very happy how it turned out (well haven´t started the engine yet!).

Clutch reservoir is mounted to the firewall....also seen is the remote bleeder. (will be hidden later)

A Pontiac heart in a Camaro - usually it's the other way around... ;)
Are you going to register it as a modified vehicle (through SFRO) or are you gonna chance everytime you visit SBP?

Well the GTO LS2 is the same as in the Corvette, SSR, Trailblazer SS and so on so I think I´m fine with it... :-)
I have already been in contact with SFRO, to much modifications to just pass trough SBP, so yes, it gonna be registered as modified vehicle.

Yes maybe, but it´s not that common with ProTouring Camaros here as it is in the US, we have plenty of first gen Camaros, but not so many in Protouring style, and I think I´m gonna be first in Sweden with Morrison frame....so it is kinda of a crazy build....
Awesome. It really looks great man, keep it up.

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2011/09/S6304388-1.jpg
I test fitted a swaybar from the same -99 Camaro the rearend came from and it seems to fit pretty well....only need to make some brackets for the endlinks....the width of the bar was perfect.....

Didn´t like the bolts that came with the frame from Morrison for the upper A-arms, they where inch bolts with washers and the A-arms are made for metric bolts (M10) so I mounted OEM Corvette C5 bolts for a much tighter and more OEM look...we will see if the length of these are enough later when I start to add schims for the A-arms....had them laying around anyway so.....

First off - project is looking great. Nice work!
I do wonder though - the end-links on the front sway bar look like they are laid over way too much (even though I realize the suspension is unloaded - it doesn't look like it will improve any when on the ground). I'm not saying they won't work and AME might have revised their front bar since mine but this doesn't look right to me. Check they sent you the correct bar or maybe this bar didn't come from them? The ends of the 7/8" bar should be slightly longer and kick-out to sit over the end-links (still leaving you tire clearance). Maybe we can have Matt give us his opinion from these pictures.
In the mean time - here's a decent AME stock photo online to compare:

I'm not questioning his assembly - I just want to make sure he has the right part. I'm thinking what has to happen during suspension compression for the sway bar to be able to do its job.

I think the pics is lying, when that photo was taken I didn´t had spring seat at ride height, and the endlinks wasn´t torqued down at all, (just loosely)and as you said the suspension is unloaded so the control arms is hanging very low causing that extreme angle....now I have the car close to ride height and that angle is pretty much gone...but I shall take a closer look to it. I did find this old pic though where you can see the part number of the sway bar that I got from AME....maybe Matt can confirm this is the right part?

Changed side of the backing plates so I get the calipers rearward of the axle instead of front as it is standard on the 4th gen axle...this way a get the park brake cable facing forward instead of backward, allowing a shorter cable and also I attend to hook them up to the orginal bracket in the frame, and from there go with 69 oem cables forward.

Hejsan!! Very interested in seeing the project coming along Andreas! Definitely great work so far. What are the plans with the rest of the car? Also have any links for SBP and also inspection of the car once it gets to Sverige? I.e. is it easier to bring a car that has the LS swapped in already (prior to inspction), or have it inspected andthen start the project? Also any info or difference on cutover dates(i.e. I believe I was reading easier to bring pre 69 cars?) All help (in Svenska or English or links greatly appreciated!)
Tack!

If you mean the positive port that go thruu the firewall its from the same Dodge Charger I took the cable from...I used the cable in its full lenght and it fit perfect.

Time for some updates.....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2013/08/IMG_1527-1.jpg
Manage to get a wiper motor from a newer Camaro (Gen 4) to fit with some modifications....made a adapter plate to fit it to the firewall....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2013/08/IMG_1519-1.jpg
Took it apart and modified the module to get rid of the hidden wiper feature....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2013/08/IMG_1522-1.jpg
Cut this "cam" away...as you may have seen in an earlier post I have a steering column from same year camaro/transam that this wiper motor came from (93-02) so in my case this was the modification that had to be done to make it work....if you have any other type of wiper switch things may be different!
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2013/08/IMG_2034-1.jpg
New front spoiler mounted....
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2013/08/IMG_2032-1.jpg
Choosed to use the bars that attach to the spoiler...did make a small modification though....the outer bars now mounts to the subframe instead of the fenders...thats for two reasons...one, if you hit something with your spoiler hard you dont mess up the fenders...two, the outer bars isnt so visable as they are when mounted in the fenders....

https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2013/08/IMG_2051-1.jpg
Time for some lightning upgrade...found H4 lights with LED:s...I connected these as DRL lamps....good to always be visable...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2013/08/IMG_2049-1.jpg
Also, I found some projector type of switchbacks for the parklight/blinkers....white when in parklight, amber when flashing...
