Hi, all I have a 69 firebird that I had an engine built for (actually it was for a jeep wrangler but after the 399th person told me I kill myself driving it daily I decided to listen). It is a 385 cid chevy with 6" rods, roller cam (I-.495 E-.510 dur @ 270 & 276) roller rockers,10.4 to 1 comp., alum. head (l98) Well, what my question is what type of intake should I use? Tpi, HSR, TPIS, or LT1. It's will have a 700r4 trans & 3.90 gears. I'd like to be able to drive it anywhere without any fuss. Thanks

not sure what the hsr intake is, but i know the lt1 intake will not fit.
i assume the tpis intake you are referring to is the mini-ram.
it also appears that the cam duration numbers are the advertised ratings?
are the l98 heads stock?
what size rear tires?
are you set on using fuel injection?

i would recomend the tpi intake with upgraded runners and throttle body. we built one similar and it perfromed very well.

The Holley Stealth Ram (HSR) is a very nice manifold and will work well for you. YOu can get a whole Stealth Ram MPFI kit that will include everything you need to do an EFI conversion.

By hsr I ment holley stealth ram. There's a guy that modifies lt1s to fit. The heads are stock (the only mods are in the spring seat pockets and s/s 1.94 & 1.50 valves) Oh, I stand corrected on the cam numbers they are 212 and 218 @.050 and lift is .487 & .495 with 110 lode sep. As for if I'm set on fi well, sort of.
Thanks
Oh I almost forgot there's a lingenfelter setup I'm looking at.

my brothers car has the lingenfelter box and afr heads on a 383, with a 221/238 @ .050, .510/.550 lift running on a stock gm maf pcm. it has an awsome torque curve and great driveability even without any tuning yet.
