Thought I'd throw in a pic or two of Deanna Marengo's 71 Camaro.
We just installed a Hotchkis TVS kit and fixed some odds and ends. "While we were in there" we added some Power Performance Motorsports .5" tall upper and lower ball joints and I took camber and caster measurements which are on my web page. The car still has a rather stock running 350 with headers, and 350 auto trans.
First time out at the autocross the car won!
Here's the cars first autocross:

Here is the latest pic right after the re-chromed full bumper was installed. Looks pretty nice this way.

I do like a second gen RS look, but not the fake RS look this car had. I think it looks more correct this way and we don't see that hood release sticking out of the grille any more.
After SEMA the car will receive Mary's old 383 and 5 speed Richmond trans. This is a really sweet car and it's going to really move once we are done with it!

Im with you David, Bumperettes on a straight bumper car looks un finished. The straight bumper and that large grill just match. Looks much better.

Thanks everyone for all the compliments! Really happy with how good the car looks with the full bumper. We were all surprised with the end result.
Next test... autocross number two. Possibly in the rain!! Hope my wipers work.

Yep, keeping the pig. I may have moved to the dark side, but the Chevelle can still make me grin like a little kid. Besides, until we do the engine swap, it is still the faster of the two!

I've always liked the full bumper cars better. The split bumper cars made me think of Edsels.

I still remember the day we dropped the car off to you guys. If my memory serves correctly, Deanna cautiously drove around the block, came back and told Mary to drive. Mary made sure the posi worked, :lmao:
I'm amazed at how much the changes affected the overall look of the car. It's lookin' mean. Hope you guys have sorted out the miscellaneous problems/issues that it had, like the brake booster, etc.

Hey Big Boy!
Will get to SEMA on Thursday, and then going to Optima with the Pozzi's. So I will see you and Jess there.
No worries. If you have room, you can just bring the box and I can get it from you at Optima. Looking forward to you showing everyone what that truck can do.
