I'm doing the LS1 brake conversion on my '69 Camaro. Which Dorman studs do I get? The 1 3/4 ones I saw are a different knurl .472" stock vs. .475". Any information or will the .475" work? Keith

I don't know to which 1-3/4" stud you may be referring (#610-259 maybe?), but Dorman makes an overlength replacement stud for your application, #610-157, which is 2-1/8" long and has a published knurl diameter of .475", but in reality, the ones I have here measure closer to .485". It works well in my experience, particularly if you're running aluminum hubs due to the larger under head surface area. If you're running cast iron or steel hubs, the 610-259 C2/3 Corvette studs work well enough if the 1-3/4" length is adequate for your setup.

Any reason you're not increasing the diameter to something more respectable (M12 or 1/2-20) while you're at it?
