View Full Version : my 19/20 Rushforths finally see the light of day
after what seems like a year, the minitubs are finally done and the car is on the road. it feels good just to get out and drive it again.
while my local chassis guy was doing the minitubs, I had him slip a 4.56 gear into the 12 bolt too. with the 6spd, it is geared exactly the way I wanted it with 75 mph coming in at 2000 rpms. the thumpr cam doesn't buck the car on the interstate now.

Do you have a t56? If not whats your 6th gear ratio?
I have a t56 with a .5 6th gear and 3.08s and it is no good on the hwy. I was thinking about getting 4.56 with a 28" tire as well, how do you like it.
yes, I have a .5 6th gear t56. I believe that my car is geared absolutely perfect with the 4.56's and 28" tires. my car has a carb and a comp thumpr camshaft that is pretty radical. the car bucked and lugged along with 3.73's in the rear, so I can only imagine how miserable 3.08's would be. I love the 4.56's.
