sbc fuel line

whats the best stuff to use for a fuel line from the mechanical pump to the carb on a sbc, and whats the best way to route it? im looking for stuff i can get at like a autozone, pepboys, or other auto parts place because im trying to get it tuned tomorrow. thanks-derek

Since you need to have it done tomorrow your probably going to have to go with a 5/16 or 3/8 rubber fuel line, I would go with 3/8, get the fittings that go in the fuel pump and fuel log while your at it.
Hopefully you already have the fuel log but if you don't you can probably get it at the auto parts store also, route the hose as far away from heat sources as possible and your done.
For a permanent set up at a later date I would reccomend that you use -6 braided line and fittings.
