Hi I am seach for a daily driver replacement for my Holden Caprice( longer wheelbase G8 in the USA). I have always liked the Jaguars with there interiors, but i've never been a fan of there Engines. The XJ8 has a lot of electronics in the car, I knew from day one an LS engine and a 4L65 transmission would fit the XJ8, the problem would be the Jaguars CAN BUS system. Trying to get the LS engine talking to the rest of the Jags electrics. Andrew from JaguarSpecialties.com is putting the finishing touches to a kit for the XJ8.

I have put my hand up to do the RHD conversion, so the hunt is on for a XJ8 for the swap. Why the Future? These later model cars will be modified more and more soon. The CAN systems fitted to these cars will need to be modified to fit a different engine. The guys tinkering in there garages will need to learn more and more about these system. Just like we have with EFI over the past few years.

I read in shock horror today about an Honda S2000 LS engine swap. They guy didn't bother trying to adapt these systems so he just threw them away like his ABS brake system.

Love those cars!!! Always liked the idea of stuffing a bigblock in there but nowadays the LS makes more sense :)

Looks cool! I think the xj-6's look better personally.
