There is a build list on the glove box for these trucks. This one seemed pretty well optioned too...

Needs a new steering box and some general maintenance. Minimal rust at the tailgate.... PO decided black was cool and painted it with what looks like a roller.... :spank2:
Ultimate goal is an aluminum 6.0L backed up by the 4L60e and NP205...

Non factory tanks. One sits above the pass side rear wheel well... the other is gone. I'll probably sell it later....

Ok... so I have been trying to take the black paint off .... its been slow going... first sand paper by hand... and some rubbing compound.... then acetone (note to self: buy more nail polish remover for the little woman) .. then a DA sander + acetone + compund... its not pretty but it looks better then the cr@py job that was on there....
Frist attempt... an hours or so ...

And I know they've been used because the frame has a tear where the tow hook bolts up.... :(

I swapped in a new Red Head variable ratio PS box, a new PS pump and new hoses... I would have test drove it but I unbolted all the body mounts the replace them... I got a poly kit and 1" aluminum body pucks to put in there...

Picked up a set of 2003 Yukon Denali 3rd row seat for the back. They have seatbelts built in and should be easy to make some type of OEM style quick release....

Are the seat mounts close or do you have to fab everything ???

What size tires are you going to run with what gears, 33's i would say the 3.73s are ok but 35s with highway driving I would go with 4.56's and not so much highway dont fear the gear and go with 4.88's. Probably telling you stuff you already know but I love fullsize GM stuff

I like the ' 71 Stepside you did. Especially the fact that you lowered it, not lifted it. What are you suspension plans for the blazer. Don't think I've ever seen anyone lower one of those real low.

I've always wanted one of these. Here's my buddies 72 CST
Its SUPER solid!
Factory color (repainted) Factory interior (newly recovered) Getting those seats redone in that original plaid was pricey but it looks so right!.

ok... so here are the seats in my garage... you can see the rear seats behind the fronts...
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/12/335007859_photobucket_23800_-1.jpg
The plans goes like this...
Do regular maintenance. Check the gears and u-joints as something is making a noise...
The steering column is is kinda worn and I picked up a floor Hurst floor shifter so I'm thinking ididit tilt column.
I keep looking for a Dana 60 front but may just upgrade from 1/2 tom to 3/4 ton on the front.
The rear main seal leaks and the drive train is covered with old dirt and grease. Just need to clean up the motor and put new gaskests on it...
The ultimate goal is 6.0L swap with matching auto trans, keep the NP205 and upgrade to a late model 14BFF with disc brakes.
Not sure on a gear ratio but this will never see any hard core wheeling.... it needs to be a daily driver first and of road toy second...
Keep the 4" lift but upgrade to a shackle flip kit and ditch the rear lift blocks.
Dana 60 if I can find one cheap.. hahaha.
Run 35" tires on 17" wheels (maybe 37 but thats probably too big)
New full cage that covers the rear passenger seats.
