Thought some of you might like to see this. It's the latest Lexus V8. Some of them are being recalled to replace the valve springs. It's a pretty impressive engine (although not for what we like to do here).
It's got a separate timing chain for each intake camshaft plus a smaller chain from the intake cam gear to drive the exhaust cam. Electrically controlled variable intake valve timing, hydraulic controlled variable exhaust valve timing, direct and port injection, and on and on. The cams are each 2 piece in that the lobes are
pressed onto the camshaft. Not sure why they do this but kind of cool
