So I think this is a big safety issue running a fuel line in the trans tunnel. Am I wrong?

Ignore the loose mounting.

Not a good idea. The fuel lines should be nowhere near rotating components, especially when they come apart. There is a reason why every car manufacturer routes fuel lines away from the driveline.

I think its a little on the dangerous side. If you have to run it like that till you replace it, I'd at least pick up a driveshaft loop for a little peace of mind.

That was my exact thought. I've never seen an OE run anything down the tunnel.

not to mention that you are within inches of the hot exhaust.

it's a 3rd gen so in this case I think that is not an issue. But I agree normally it would be.
