Prodigy Customs Looking for a Second Gen Car for a G Link Install.

FREE Labor and 20% discount on the kit!

Hey guys, with the new G Link around the corner, I am looking for a running / driving second gen car to do a G Link swap in. I want to be able to do A / B drive it in on Monday on leafs, drive it out on Weds on the 4 link for some good seat of the pants testing. IF the owner is willing to do back to back performance timed testing would be a bonus. But my experience in the past with these systems in first gens, the ride and performance is so much better just driving it will make it clear it is much improved.

We are also doing this for a second reason. We sell what we install. So we need to go through the installation process ourselves as well as feel the difference.

The swap will cost about $2000 total as we will give this kit at 20% off and provide all the installation free. If the car is within 200 miles we will pick it up and deliver it FREE!

So what qualifies your car?

Your car should :

Be running and driver (pretty doesn't matter)

Front suspension mods would be nice but not required

No project cars!

Within 200 miles of Orlando, Fl. If farther then 200 miles, you handle shipping

That would be awesome. Too bad mine isn't running or I would be finding a way to get it to you.

I listed it at Nasty, I want to offer this to members of forums I sponsor right now. Then I will hit the streets with it.

Frank, if I had a second gen I'd be on my way out the door with my passport and visa card.
Is it a safe bet that you will have a project thread for the install?

How about a group purchase for everyone maybe help us save a few dollars aswell u make money to off set free labor

It is a group purchase! Just only a group of one.

Seriously, though, I think it's pretty unfair to ask Prodigy to do free labor on a GP-sized group of cars--that's typically at least 5-10 cars, probably at least a day's labor on each car--You're pretty much asking everyone in the shop to work for free for a week or two. If somebody asked you to do the same, what would your response be?

I am not asking for free labor wouldnt think of it. Was hoping to get group purchase on g link itself for those of us that will be installing our on kits that would save us a little as well as help the shop off set free labor on the free install the one u are speaking of

No problem Gasfumes

My grandpa told me if you do not ask for it you most likely will not get it, weather that be a discount on a new car (or part) or sex with your lover. Seems everyday he was correct!

Frank,

If my car were drivable, I would have zero issues making the drive from Pittsburgh...

Alas, I am just glad to hear that the 2nd Gen G link is on its way. This is what I really want to run out back.

Frank, that deal is really tempting. My brother has a 78z28 that would be perfect. The only problem is that the glink is the snowball at the top of the hill. It really goes with minitubs, then a narrowed rear, then new wheels and tires, then narrowed gas tank, new tailpipes, and to cap it off - a strong ass engine to push it all. I doubt I can talk him into it.

I was planning on coming, but my sons Cub Scout pack lost its leader in an accident, and I am now in charge. I spent the weekend with 50 boys racing boats they made. I'm in charge now, so I get to make the schedule, I won't miss it again.

So we have a winner.

Congratulations Pete, You are the winner

I got inundated with people campaigning to use their cars, some were willing to ship the car and spend more shipping then the value of the freebie just to have us work on their car. Very flattering but the winner turns out to be right in my back yard.

I found the PERFECT car and am very excited. Looks like a gorgeous car, looks fast and Pete can drive the hell out of it. this makes a perfect back to back testing car.

I have a customer with a 79 T/A that might be interested. Car is a good reliable driver and looks decent too. blk/ blk w/ SE decals.

Also have a blk / blk 78 t/a that would work.

Lucky guy, but it sounds like a pretty awesome car to start with and meets all of Frank's needs to boot. I would love to see a second gen sitting on on CCW's.
