Hood pin cables.

I am thinking about using hood pin cables on my 69 Camaro, has anyone had any scratches in their paint from them?

most of the higher end brands have a vinyl covering. no problems

I don't get any scratches, but I do get some plastic rub marks on longer drives. They seem to come right off with some spray detailer. When I tow it I tape them down with some blue painter's tape.

Noticed that too with mine on the '69 Camaro,just minor scuffing...great idea on the blue tape though.

The ones on my Chevelle don't touch the paint for some reason so no issues there.
