Ill keep this short...
Everytime i take my car out somewhere (store, friends house, etc etc.) and come back out to leave my car has the worst time starting. It turns over just fine but just wont "start". Im at a loss for this. I have new plugs and wires. Cold starting isnt a problem either. Its a 350 4spd with a 305 crank, cam, dart heads, 650 holley. So what gives guys? Any suggestions?

I hope it is this easy.
1. Sounds like your choke is stuck open...make sure it closes when you go to restart it.
2. How is your fuel line routed. The fuel could be getting to hot and vapor locking. Just reroute your fuel line away from the engine and headers/exhaust manifolds. Do you have an electric fuel pump? That can help also.
You said "Cold starting isn't a problem either." That is why I suggest to above to look at first.

Thanks Type73LT..
1. The carb doesnt have a choke on it. (the previous owner just cut it off :dunno: )
2. I was wondering if that could be a possibility or not b/c the only place my fuel line gets somewhat close to the motor is when it comes out of the fuel regulator and runs up to the front then wraps around the right side head. There are some parts of my fuel like rubber and some metal. Could that be a problem as well?
I also have a electic fuel pump...

What temperature is it outside when this is happening? What kind of ignition do you have?

Hopefully you have the fuel pump wired separately so you can turn it on first...then listen for it to slow or stop and you know you have fuel.
If you have someone with you.....take off the air cleaner.....cup your hand over the carb where the choke should have been....get the other person to try to start the car. If it starts you need a choke.
See if it works. Once it gets cold out you will need one anyway.

OK try this, if its fuel boiling out of carb or other fuel issue, crank for about 3 to 5 seconds, then pump accelerator 1 or 2 times and see if it starts.
Depending on your cam and intake and timing you may have w,with the smaller carb, and issue of signal at cranking.
With most of my cars running a Holley I usually stroke the pedal as I crank it.
Also splitting these two actions can narrow down which issue you are having.

If cold starting isn't a problem it probably isn't the lack of a choke.
It could be an ignition problem. You should make sure you are getting power to the coil when you are cranking. Try putting a test light or voltmeter on the + coil wire and make sure it has power when you are cranking the engine. When I converted my Cutlass to HEI it had a hard time starting. It seemed like it wouldn't even try to fire until I let off the key. It turns out this is exactly what it was doing. When I ditched the old points distributor and coil, I did away with the low voltage wire and ballast resistor and the "booster" wire that came from the solenoid on the starter. It is supposed to give 12v to the points coil for a hotter spark while cranking to help with starting. It turns out on my Cutlass at least that the ignition switch doesn't send any power through the "regular" ignition wire while cranking. I could literally crank for 30 seconds (or forever) with no sign of life then it would start (sometimes) the second I let off of the key. It seemed to have a harder time starting like this when when warmed up than cold. I ran another wire from the solenoid wire to the ignition to provide power while cranking and it has started perfectly since.
I also had a car that would not start when it was hot and had been sitting for a few minutes and it turned out being the coil.
