OK now this looks like way to much fun!!!!!!!!! Anyone into a road trip?????
I sure know it's got my attention... Who knows maybe they'll allow the Crazy Canadian to pull a team together..
Hey Matt, maybe you could fly in from Chicago with one of those free airline tickets???? I think it'd be a blast to
do a "Dinner and Dive" hop along the route and meet up with other board members along the way to Bowling Green....

4 days of action
4 prizes to compete for
2 "packages" to be delivered to the same destination
2 teams of 4 vehicles each
1 goal – Show the Drive
Each day 2 different drivers (with co-pilots) will drive a short distance to meet the the next person on their team in order to deliver the “package” to the destination.
1 challenge will be issued to the drivers each day. Completing the challenge will require getting off the interstate, exploring the countryside.
Drivers will be judged by how well they meet the challenge based on their photos and videos of the experience.
Both “packages” contains all the tools needed to create your own story live as it happens for the audience on the web - a digital camera, HD video camera, iPad, and mobile wifi hot spot.
Once the journeys have been completed and documented, the viewing public will vote for the drivers that did the best job documenting their challenge. The daily winners will be awarded prizes from the daily challenge sponsors once the votes have been tallied.
The Daily Challenge Sponsors for the first Road Tour Express:
Borla Performance Industries
Comp Cams
Holley Performance Products
RideTech
The first event will end in Bowling Green Kentucky, just in time for the Goodguys Nostalgia Nationals and the Road Tour Express team captains will be chosen by Monday September 27th. If you are within a 300 to 400 mile radius of Bowling Green KY, and build a team to compete... Sign up for a team captain position at http://www.roadtourexpress.com NOW!

After receiving several well qualified entries for the first two team captains on the Road Tour Express we have our picks:
RTE Team 1 will be run by Chad Fletcher
RTE Team 2 will be run by Albert Melchior
Both are long time members of the Pro-Touring.com board as well many other industry boards.
Team captains will be posting on their favorite Web hangouts looking for drivers to fill out their teams. If you want to get your car out for a fun day of driving and feel you*are up for the challenge make sure to speak up and let them know why you would be the choice to fill one of the team spots.
There are some really cool prizes up for grabs from the four daily challenge sponsors!!

This is going to be a blast! 4 days, 4 teams, 4 drives!!! Can't wait to see what we can put together. We only have 13 days to get this organized and together so we need all the support and help we can get from you guys. Want to be one team? Know of any cool off the wall places that would be cool to visit, know of something special or interesting. Anything you can do to help it appreciated.

Very, very cool event and wish there was something like this on "our" coast. Additional documentation can be had by interviewing bystanders about their muscle cars they've had and sold.
I'd be a very wealthy woman if I had $1 for every time someone told me "I had one of these and wish I'd NEVER sold it ..."
Lots of potential for some cool entertainment here.

Each driver only has to be a part of the event on the day they want to drive. So if you are somewhere along the way and can only hang out one day that is fine. As a matter of fact that is one of the reasons we built the Road Tour Express. We know not every one can take a week off to go play. We wanted to put on an event that ANYONE can be a part of.
If you are interested in being on a team but not sure how it works please give me a call @ 812.480.5820

Points of interest you guys should consider
Macon-Indian Mounds. Historical spot in Macon, ran by the National Parks Service. Very interesting and cool photo ops.
Chattanooga- SEE ROCK CITY, cool place everyone has heard of. Also RUBY FALLS, another place that is a must if you are in the area.
IF heading near Nashville, Jack Daniels distillery.
Is anyone up for a good grilled bologna bash when you arrive in Bowling Green? I might be able to work something out...

We sent out the packages to the team leaders yesterday. This thing is about to get rolling... stay tuned.
It might not be too late to still get involved. Teams and routes are coming together, but not set in stone at this point.
Don't forget, you should know where the drivers are during the event and you are welcome to drive along with them.
