Weld-on Sub Frame Connectors for the 1st Generation F-Body

Stiffen up the chassis for greatly improved handling in your 1st Gen F-body with Weld-on Sub Frame Connectors from BMR Fabrication. This product is constructed from 2” x 2” x 0.120” laser-profiled square tubing and 3/16” CNC laser cut steel mounting plates. The BMR Sub Frame Connectors (SFC006) weld through the floor pan, connecting the front sub frame to the rear sub frame. The unique profile provides OE ground clearance and an unparalleled structural advantage compared to other designs. Provided with Delrin body mount bushings and grade 8 mounting hardware. Installation time is only 3-4 hours.

Subframe connectors reinforce the chassis by connecting the front subframe to the rear subframe. These cars originally only have a front removable subframe that bolts to the body via 4 bolts. The rest of the car is unibody construction with integrated rear frame rails made from formed, light-gauge steel. The problem with this design is that the front subframe does'nt meet the rear subframe, leaving the rocker panels and floorpan as the only real connection front-to-back. Subframe connectors bridge this gap and these in particular go through the floorpan for additional rigidity and ground clearance.
