Creating a Custom Paint Mix

So how does one go about creating a custom mix? I had a rendering done and the blue used in the rendering is not an off-the-shelf color. I have a photoshop swatch of the color, now what? Can I use the digital swatch to get a custom color mixed or...?

nope, you'd have either use color swatches at the paint shop/store and tweak the color or eyeball and mix the color yourself with toners from mixing system till you come up with desired results

Yep, and if you intend to do that, better write down the mix. A fatal error I've made more than once in the past.

And make sure you buy enough for touch ups later on. I had a custom green mixed for my motorcycle and a few years later, needed more for some aftermarket body parts. Went back to the same paint store and had it mixed with the same formula, but it didn't quite match.
