Hi all,
thursday we will be heading back to San Francisco and we will spend ten more days there.
Considering that we are on family holiday we are going to Monterey, Carmel, the Redwoods and Napa, but I'd like to see some more car related stuff.... whats in the area?
thanks

Isn't there a big car museum around Danville?

Yes, car museum in Danville.
Matt's Classic Bowties in their new location in Pleasanton.
There is a good size car consignment place in Dublin.
If you like motorcycles (I have been there and their bikes are works of art) Arlen Ness has his show room right down the street from the consignment place in Dublin.

The Blackhawk museum is jaw-droppingly, mind-bendingly amazing. For the first time in my life, I saw cars as works of art. I'd sometimes spend 30 minutes staring at a single vehicle.
Infineon +1, Matt's Classic Bowties +1, Specialty Auto Sales +1

Yeah, Kassabian Motors is the big consignment shop on Dublin Blvd in Dublin. It usually has a nice assortment, just don't look at their ridiculous asking prices. :spank2:

Thanks guys ! we went to Infineon wednesday and blew low gear out of my buddys 65 Chevelle 2door wagon :-) I'll what else can be added to the to-do list but that blackhawk is tempting....
Yeah, check out Infineon Raceway, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and do a Bay Cruise around the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. It's located at Fisherman's wharf :)
Have fun and take lots of pics.
We love San Francisco :twothumbs

Another vote for the Blackhawk museum. Not P-T but nothing short of automotive art in there.

And...if in SF down by the Piers, Allioto's is a great seafood restaurant. If you want a more tourist type place with a great view, Bubba Gumps is great and located at the end of Pier 39. Pier 39 is a must anyways if you haven't been down to that area. It is also located where you get the tickets for the boat rides to Alcatraz and around the bay.
Try the jet boat rides!

If you like Italian Food, Buca Di Beppo is not that far from the pier and it's really good.

Hi All,
came home yesterday evening after three wonderful weeks between SF, Oregon and Washington.
Of car related stuff we went to the end of the world rod run, wed night drags at Infineon and Billetproof in Antioch, I also went to Gotelli speed shop and a little tour at Brizio. would have loved to do more but family was top priority. Anyhow we will for sure come back.
ciao

Check out Muir Woods. It's a short drive out of SF across the Golden Gate bridge and the road to the forest is fun to drive. Viewing these ancient trees will make you feel small in more ways than one.
