Has anyone ever thought of using a block mounted fuel pump as an extra oil pump to feed turbos? Of course, this would be used in conjunction with an electric fuel pump to feed the injectors. It may be impossible or even quite far fetched, but either way-Just a brainstorm. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to wonder with me.

I don't know if it would create enough pressure or not. But why? Why not just go off the oil sending unit or a plate under the oil filter? WHat engine?

Agreed..../\

However, with that being said it wouldnt work on a street car and only might work on a race car with an oil heater. Fuel pumps are designed to pump fuel not extremely HOT oil that has quite a bit more viscocity(sp?) than fuel.

It would be a waste of power. You already are losing the power to turn the oil pump, so why not use it to provide oil to theturbo also.
