I just got my car back from paint. its a 67 RS/SS camaro. before going for paint everything electrical worked well. the headlight doors worked, directionals etc. anyways, all of a sudden the headlight doors wont open, and when i turn on the headlights the dash lights and taillights go out. they work fine with just the parking lights though. does this sound like a bad headlight switch, ground issue? anything else. thanks for the help

I'd buy a ground issue - all the lights and motors need a good ground, and if they painted over the ground then you won't get a good connection.

id think that too but the headlights/motors were never disconnected when he painted. just removed the doors and masked it off.

Doors painted shut? :guilty:

I am wondering if he knocked a wire off while painting?
Blow a fuse?

Go ahead and check all connections. It does sound like a bad ground to me. go around the car and check to make sure all the wires are attatched correctly just to make sure Start at the bulkhead on the firewall just to make sure you gollow everything.

welp, i got everything working again and i feel like an ass. it turned out to ba a bad fuse. not one under the dash but the one for the motor hrness that is hidden behind the battery. completely forgot about that one. o well. its all working now.
