So I guess when you order a certain $$ amount from Summit, they send you some freebies...the hat makes sense, but a razor? REALLY ? ? ? WTF ? ? ?:hammer:

schick and gillette are in a duel to the death for the mutil blade razor market, looks like they've partnered w/ typical guy companies to increase their marketshare.

I got one in a Summit order a couple weeks ago.. Actually don't mind the razor, but I'm scared to see how much the blades cost! Guess I'll have to order more parts when this one goes dull!

a little hint to make your razors last longer. Use an old tooth brush to clean all the shaving cream and hair out of them. Then dry them and keep them dry in between uses. I shake mine for a few seconds and then blow and wipe on a towel. Some people use a hair dryer but I don't have one. This really works. I hate shaving but hate spending a lot of money on razors more. So I have the bic disposable razors with like 3 blades. I typically get 4-6 weeks out of one shaving every other day.

Same deal with cheap printers and those $35 ink cartridges.

As for razors, I'm cheap.. I use an electric Braun - no refills to buy. :)

What kind of money did y'all drop on the order that got you the free razor?

I may have to switch to Summit. I ordered every single piece (minus cam) for my recent Avalanche build through Jegs. I now have enough hats to supply a race team, however never got so much as a t-shirt otherwise.

It was expensive, but not so expensive (I thought)
Edelbrock LS headers for first gen camaro
Edelbrock LS engine mounts for first gen
Energy Suspension Engine mounts
ARP Engine mount bolts

total: 729 and change

considering that just a couple of years ago tubular LS headers for the first gens were only offered from a few suppliers and cost 1200 bucks, I think I got a good deal!

I get the multi blade razors, usually the Mach series. You can get a cupon for the whole thing with 2 blades cheaper than the refills with a cupon usually. And they end up being cheaper than disposables because they last longer.....and don't pull the hairs, they actually cut them!
But hadn't got one from summit, but I do have to buy a fuel pump now since mine took a crap Saturday! Maybe I'll get a razor then! Lol

I've spent lots of money over the years...it seems wierd, I can spend a couple bucks and get all sorts of stuff free, yet spend hundreds and get nothing but the bill included.

it's a promo thing for my club's event at island dragway. banner, goodie bags, etc. nothing interesting or shiny.

Everyone in the NJ area come up to Island Dragway 10/23. Goodie bags!

(and no, there is no room there for a auto-x, so don't ask. I already tried.).

It truly is becoming a nuisance. Now on every order I place I specifically mention I don't want a hat. It'd be nice if they'd give me the option of taking that $5 off the top of my order in lieu of the "freebie."

However... this might also be a sign I have an addiction I need to keep in check. :)

How did you get this Todd Akes photo?--I know it was taken at RTTC after he took off the pink Cowboy hat---Bill Howell took the photo. I know this community is tight, but this is getting to be a bit TMI.
