So... what would cause a motor to stall out when the RPMs are coming down after some WOT action?

air in your system. lack of fuel. fuel bowl out of adjustment. clogged filter. etc...

Everything 67 ls1 vert said and then some. Best guess would be clogged filter or weak fuel pump or low float setting.

It was none of those. It was a timing issue. The dizzy hold down wasn't tight enough, I'm a dummy.
