The Lexus sc300/400/ Toyota Soarer is built on the Supra platform. In Japan a Soarer could be bought with a 1jz-gte, an early turbo Supra engine. In the states the 300 got an n/a 6 cyl & the 400 got a v8. Because of the close relation to the Supra, Supra engine swaps are common. Now you have a car that can make big power and look less conspicuous.

We have a 1/8th mile track here that has a Saturday program that is 98% Spanish crowd. Most of the cars are complete pieces of ****, but a dozen or so will be really clean little bodys, nice originalish paint like that car, and just haul ass. Not that fast, but many will run deep in the 9s.
