Just signed up and I can tell that I will be enjoying this forum! I've already exchanged a couple of PMs with Larry and was most impressed with his attitude towards a new guy. When I'm ready for a project for a 1st and 2nd Gen F Body, this forum is where I'll start.

I recently finished restoring a 3rd Gen that I started a couple of years ago. It was my intention to build me a boulevard car to cruise on the weekends. Back in '85 I really wanted an IROC-Z but as a serviceman it wasn't in the cards. My buddy received a $13,000 bonus when he re-uped and bought a blue '86 IROC. I told him I'd get it one day and won't have to reinlist. 25 years later... I finally got one.

I have a couple of modified Corvettes that I use to scratch the 'go fast' itch, but I am now considering modding the IROC starting with brakes and suspension. I subscribe to 3rdgen.org but they are mostly younger guys not really into performance with the exception of a few. If any of you guys have advice for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Here are a few pics of my F Body:

Cheers,
Tommy

Tommy, that 3rd Gen is a beaut!

There is an autocross at the Camarillo Airport Sept. 19th. Registration is full, but there will be 12 or so of us out there if you want to come out and meet us. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69375

Welcome aboard.
