Cool, thanks for sharing Steve. Bad Penny sounds awesome, that camera angle showing the guages looks like the cockpit of a fighter jet. Mary is an amazing driver.

Penny looks Primo, more flat/stable in the corners and seams to stay planted at take off. Great addition Steve. I know it's a small track set-up but how does Mary like the new engine transplant- Hp/Torque? PG13 my *ss....lol

Talk about living the dream....just a little mid-week testing in the world's baddest Camaro on a private track.
Can I get an invite next time? :smoke:

Hey thats just like my life, except my private track is the company parking lot, and I only get to drive 15 mph because security is watching, and instead of cones I get to park in an unassigned spot. Yup.... Oh wait...
Bad Penny sure sounds great. Watching that made me want to go home get my car and go for a drive.
I don't know how Mary resisted roasting those tires after that spin out.

Very cool Steve, I know How stoked I get when I feel I've had some changes made for the better, so I imagine you must be ear to ear right now.
I noticed a lot of cool vintage in the back ground, does El Toro have regular scheduled test days?

Mary, you're to much and that car (or any other for that matter) is play dough in your hands after a few laps....

They do hold autocrosses there.. by we rent the place for testing.. get a deal since we rent it so much.
Yea, pretty happy with the handling.. just love to watch Mary pilot a car through the cones. She drove 10 cars today so I'm sure there will be more vids in different cars.

To be honest it seems to roll more.. but in a good compliant way I'm sure Mary of David could explain better.. The body moves but the tires stay slammed to the road. We ditched the rear bar
We ran her though our slalom test.. let's just say there's a new record on the magazine books that won't be beat for a while.. ;)
Having an engine problem though.. might be t-stat related.. it's always something, but the suspension is feelin good.

more vid? bring it. love to see it...
no peep cause the rest of the car is sharing the work instead of putting all the responsibility on the tires. Suspension and weight transfer working in peaceful harmony.... one is free to be one with road.... namaste :thankyou:

We ditched the rear bar
It appeared in the second vid that she was able to power through that turn where she lost the back end in the first vid...maybe removing the rear bar helped the car through there?(tightened it up just enough)

Got in a bit deep and trail braked, started to get some rotation which we discussed for a bit, and then Penny said "Bite Me" and snapped around. How rude ...LOL.
Seriously, it's the best the car has handled since I've been allowed to drive it.
Cheers,

Its that how it usually goes? Just when you think you have it all figured out the car shows you the error of your ways......usually at the worst time.

We just got back home.
A big thanks to Doug Norrdin & Co at Global West! I learned a lot about shock tuning and it was cool to see them work their Penske magic on Bad Penny! We have more lean now, but overall "stick" is better. We may be able to do further adjustments to reduce chassis lean, it's more than you see on other cars, but for now, as long as Penny is happy, I'm happy!
Oh, and Penny has a deeper "voice" now, I like it!

Mary seems to like the new added body roll.. In the slalom it didn't seem to upset the car at all.. hell, the tires didn't even make noise.
