I have a vintage Suntach I am putting in , trying to get this project done in the next two weeks. These old tachs have 4 wires all the same color. I got the light to work so I figured I had the ground and the light wire. I also got the needle to deflect by briefly touching another wire to the + on the battery, so I figure that is the tach input.
Went to hook it up and could not get it working. So I went back to test it on the battery again and now I cannot get the needle to deflect at all.
It seems I fried this somehow?? Does anybody know something about these. There is no fuse visable on the back of this thing. The light still works but that is it. ANY help is greatly appreciated.

do they come off of terminals on the back of the tach? If so they should have symbols. I found this in a search:

There should be a T,L,G and B terminal, the T connects to the negative side of the coil, the G goes to engine ground,L goes to dash light circuit, and the B terminal goes to ignition switch or accessory terminal of fuse box.Hope this helps.

If you would have "fried" the movement I think you would have noticed the needle pegging in one direction or the other. Maybe take some good pictures of the circuit board, both top and bottom. Someone might be able to tell how to hook it up from that, or maybe we can spot a crispy component.
