Block Question

Im not to familiar with different years of blocks and what interchanges. But my question is. If you have a 2005 corvette aluminum block will all other parts fit from SBC 350 or is there a big difference. And How good are the 05 Corvette Blocks. Would the parts from my SBC 383 fit (after block work)? and would it mount the same in a 68 Camaro. Was having this discussion with a guy, and I had no idea.

The 05 Corvette block is going to be an LS2. They're a far cry from the gen 1 SBCs and I don't think there is a single part that can interchange. They are great engines, all aluminum 6.0L and make 400+hp out of the box. They do require different mounts than a Gen 1 SBC as well though.
