Is there any difference between the C6 and C5 Z51 brakes?

How do the 2 Piston Z51 caliper compare with the Wilwood 4 piston caliper?

Going with a 340mm Rotor if it matters.

C6 caliper is about 30% more rigid than the C5 caliper other than that they are equal

How do the 2 Piston Z51 caliper compare with the Wilwood 4 piston caliper? Willwood is a fixed vs. a 2 piston floating caliper. the C5/C6 rotor is thicker 1.25" thick vs a Wilwood at only .81" thick each has the benefit and downfall.

I assumne we are comparing for a Corvette hug? What 4 piston caliper? In a 13" / 14" rotor most Wilwood kits use standard the 6 piston superlite calipers and .110 to .125 thick rotors.

for the sake of argument Dynalite 4 piston and what is the difference between a fixed and floating caliper?

A floating caliper slides on pins, and can move. A fixed caliper is solidly mounted and doesn't move. "Most" original equipment uses a floating caliper. Foating calipers are especially nice on a c-clip rear axle, as the axle moves in and out a bit and the floating caliper follows it. A fixed rear caliper with a c-clip axle is prone to "pad knockback", in which the axle moves and the caliper doesn't, so the piston gets compressed when cornering hard resulting excessive pedal travel to get the piston back to its starting point.
