Well my 10" of vacuum to my brake booster almost caught up with me yesterday... I have to do something with these brakes... My car stops good until the last 10'-15' of the stop, then it gets hard "sometimes"..
I was going to try changing the pedal ratio from the stock setting of 6:1 to the manual setting of 3:1 with the booster. Is it the booster that causes hard braking on a stalled power brake car or is it the power brake ratio of 6:1 ?
I'm going to have to go to manual if this doesn't work.
My 3900 lb 64 Bonneville has a new stock 9" booster with a 74 Corvette 1" bore master. It has Scarebird front disc brakes with 12" rotors and 78 Caprice D-52 calipers.. With Wagner organic pads that squeal like metallics..
Any thoughts?
Thank you, Jeff
