It's actually much longer! My dad bought the '67 Camaro new, my brother owned it for a few years and I have had it since. I first replaced the horrible manual drums with power disks in front from a '68 chevell in 1972. Then I got the lowest profile tires that would ever be offered to the general driving public - 50 series BF Goodrich Radial TA's. :pat: I was a lot younger and more impulsive. I drove back home at about 5 MPH and butchered the fenders so they wouldn't rub. I didn't know about backspacing or anything. Obviously! I replaced the Powermatic trans with a 4 speed, put on a carb, intake and headers. I drove it as it looks from the outside (temporarily assembled with vice grips) until 1982 when I started a ground up restoration. I got a 350 unassembled short block from a machine shop that had been left by the customer. I got heads and ported them. I repainted or cadmium plated with post chromate treatment (like gold grade 8 bolts) everything under the car. I reassembled it to its present condition by 1985. It has been sitting in various locations (and states) since. I have been lurking on this site for awhile. I decided that it is now or never if I want to finish it and still have any reflexes left to use the power and handling. I have measured all the suspension points and modeled it in Solid works.

Welcome to the family!, it sounds that you and I are a lot alike, I've had my 68Z since 1981 and it's finaly ready for interior and for me to assemble the engine, my goal is to have it on the road by spring, much longer than that I'll have to go on Social Security haha.
