Here are some pics of the 3-point seat belts I installed in my '70 Nova today. The install was a breeze and they work/fit very well. The only negative is that the retractor slightly contacts the door panel. I can slide the seat up one notch and 'massage' the bracket to keep that from happening but because of my height I have to have the seat all the way back. At some point I might paint the upper bracket black. All-in-all I would recommend these or you can pick up the cheaper belts from Andover or Juliano's and make your own brackets to save some money.

These are the same belts shown installed in a 1st-gen Camaro on page 37 of the June '05 Car Craft.

Dan...They look sweet! These were the one from Morris Classic right? Do you think the rubbing/contact on the door panel will be an issue longterm?

Thanks, yeah Morris Classic. The only thing I can see being a problem is if the retractor rubs a hole in the door panel. I obviously have factory buckets which are quite wide at the base. If someone were running aftermarket seats this may not be an issue since most are probably not quite as wide.

That looks like a nice clean bolt in set up.
You are really going to like the feel of the 3 point seatbelts. I installed 4th gen in mine and they function and retract exactly how they are supposed to. Works great when you take corners, hit the gas, or hit the brakes. But they werent a nice bolt in kit like that one. I had to weld them in myself and make all my own brackets. Then get the retracting mechanism perfectly level.

Nothing that a cut-off tool (or really hard hit with a "Multi-directional inertia device" - :hammer: ) wouldn't fix. :naughty:

Thanks Clint. They're one of the advertisers on the right side of the forum page, but here's their URL. Their web-site leaves a lot to be desired so you're probably better off calling them and talking w/Billy directly. He's also been on the Thurs. night chats recently.

Hey Guys,

I have had our seatbelts in my Camaro for 10 years and you can't see a worn place on my door panels. They are close but again there isn't much room between the seat and door panel. I don't have any indentation in the panel either. Hope our products meet everyones expectations.

Thanks to the Customers that have purchased from us and also to our Future Customers

I just installed mine last night. I love them! Seem to be about as good as you can get with a conversion. Clearance to door panel is close but it does clear so I personally am not worried about wear on the panel. I'm glad I chose the Morris classic belts and the intro price is over at the end of June. I'm not trying to be advertisment but I'm very pleased with the belts.

I don't have any wear on my door panels yet either, but I do have an indention where they contact. Billy I understand that most of your installs are in 1st-gen Camaros, maybe 3rd-gen Nova doors are thicker, thereby being closer to the seat when closed, I don't know. I'm NOT trying to put the product down in any way, just telling what I've experienced. I'm VERY pleased with the way they work and feel safer while driving.
