I need some help please. I found out under my own mistake that the engine on the nova I bought back in '09 has a 307, even though i was told it was a 350.

Due to my mistake, I am in search of a real 350. I found this block, where the pictures are not the best in the world.

According to the seller, the 350 was assembled but never ran. It then sat at the warehouse for a couple of years.

Sorry for the bombardment of pictures. Reason for doing this is that I do not want to buy a brand new engine etc, knowing that in the future I might be going for an LSx engine.

So is it worth it from the lousy pictures for $150? Then add some internal and call it day?

Thank you once again for the help.

According to the casting number 3970010 (also referred to as an "010" block) this is a good block with extra nickel content. I have 2 of these that they can handle high horsepower and nitrous if desired. If I were you, I would take to a machine shop and have them check the line bore as well as the cylinder bores (to make sure that they are not 4.060” or larger) and see how everything measures up to specs. Also have them check for cracks. If all checks out, this should be well worth $150. You indicated that this was a .30 over block so the bores should measure 4.030". People in my area have paid $500 for one of these "010" blocks in good shape.
