ok so i have a 65 stang that i want to re do the front suspension on. now i have two requirements, i need it to lay in the weeds and i need to get rid of the inner shock towers. i dont wanna run airbags though. i'm thinkin either the normal mustang II route or go with the AJE tubular k member and coilover setup. of the two what would you go with for a daily driven but plan on seeing both drag and auto-x tracks? thanks in advance

Take a look at what I built for my falcon.

But if you want to buy something, TCP is the best for adjustability and simple install.

What motor are you planning on using?

MII and struts are not the best geometry.

Look at griggs design. You can remove most of the shock towers with that setup.

Luke,
When you install the CA crossmember, do you box the front rails or just cut the slot and weld directly to the frame rails. I've looked at this universal system a few times and it looks like a great piece that you could really set the ride height to the builds needs. Mine is a Mopar.

It appears in CA's site that there are only two widths available if you want to use their power rack. Am I looking at that correctly?

Anymore pictures of the installation? Previously I hadn't seen them on your site although I followed your build on that Mustang including the rear clip.

Thanks, Wes

Wes you definitely want to box the rails with 10 ga. this mustang I had previously installed a MII snd when we upgraded to the Chassisworks kit I just left the MII boxing plates in. The chassisworks crossmember does not include boxing plates.
The CA kits do only have the 2 widths for the power rack.

Shoot me your email and I'll email you some more pics

Check out the TCI Falcon unit. http://www.totalcostinvolved.com/ford_falcon_front_end.cfm
I comes standard with regular coils springs and gas shocks but it can ge upgraded to coilover shocks or airbags. You can get it with stock or dropped spindles. It comes with mounts for Windsor engines or optional 4.6L, FE or 429-460 mounts. They also have a triangle 4-linbk for the rear that is a bolt in deal if you are using your stock 8" rear. If you want a 9" they will provide weld-on axle brackets. I have sold many of them and they work great.
