View Full Version : 4th gen rear adjustment?

I have the 93-7 pbr set on the rear and I was wondering if anyone else has noticed how much float these have on the bottom. The e brake pushes the piston from the bottom via the arm, which angles the piston at the bottom. The calipers are shimmed correctly and the ebrake is not overly tight. But the arms don't necessarily return 100% nuetral when e brake is released. It seems that the allen bolt that attaches the bracket and threads into the (pin/lower floating shaft) has quite a bit of movement on the passenger side. Anyway It looks like I am getting some drag on the rotors. Is this due to floating? I tightened the nut(does this nut serve any other purpose than to tighten the allen). It doesn't seem that you can tighten the nut which it turn would reduce float distance. Is the extensive amount of float due to the way the e-brake mechanism works?
my concern is that the caliper lower shaft is out of adjustment if there is any. If it is just due to the ebrake not returning nuetral then I guess I am TSOL.
hopefully this makes sense! SS
