Do anyone have any info on the ls controller kit made by gmpp think they sell for around 950 for everything needed to run engine is this the best route or something else?

It's a very good option with a very high quality/price relation. Everything is included and it's not hard to tune the ECU with HPtuners or EFI-live. Even some of the top notch builders on this site (e.g. John Parson) are using and/or considering it for their next build.
You are however limited to the use of a DBW throttle Body.
