i've never done any road racing, but i think i would have sent that red car into a spin at about the 4:00 mark. aren't there rules about when you are supposed to surrender your spot if someone has a better line thru a corner?
he was beat into almost every corner on almost every lap, but never let the faster car have the line like that other car at the beginning did.

on a happier note, there is nothing like the sound and experience of an American V8 at 6500rpm..

WOW... If this was just an open track day, the guy in the Lark (I think?) was a total d**kbag. Door slamming for competition is one thing, but an open track day? Wow, what an arsehat.

I also don't know anything about amature road racing, but the guy in the english ford POS should have his ass handed to him.
the road course seemed to really favor the little cars; the Cmaro seemed to have lots of power but was overcome in the turns by the little cars.

I want to see part tow of the video, where the driver goes to the pits, and gives that dipstick some driving tips!

Red car is a Ford Cortina.
I don't understand why the Camaro driver didn't dive under him at one of many corners and leave the Cortina with a choice of brake or go off.....
Maybe the Camaro didn't have the brakes or suspension/tyres for that????
At least it looked like he spun that Cortina on the way off the track.

I remembered it was called cortina after I posted last night.
but yeah, it 'seems' like he had some room to go under him; in fact, it looks like they did even touch a few times!

i think the guy in the Camaro was showing restraint and not getting overly aggressive. i'm sure he thought many times about dumping that pesky red car but held back. he dove under it in just about every corner of every lap- sometimes more aggressively than others- but let off when he realized that the guy was right where his car needed to go to make it thru the corner.
who knows, maybe these guys were friends and they had some sort of a gentleman's bet about the ability of the brutish American beast to get past the refined British car on the track or something like that.

The guy in the Camaro needs to learn how to drive on track. Thats why he couldn't pass the momentum car.

Whoa easy on grouping Studebaker owners in on this! Hahaha Did I mention that I hate short tracks?
