We've wanted a LS-only event ever since the introduction of the now twelve-year old LS1 engine. I'm sure that most of you hardcore racers have heard about this LS-only, full weekend of heads up drag racing but if you haven't then check this out.

The Holley LS Fest is a celebration of everything and anything powered by the incredible GM LS engine! If an LS based engine is powering your ride or if you are considering a swap to LS power, this is your event! Race cars, street rods, muscle cars, trucks, late models - you name it, if it is being powered by an LS there will be something here for you! Take part in our drag race, autocross, 0-60-0 speed stop challenge, show-n-shine and more. Event/class champions will be crowned as well as an overall event champion for those that want to compete in multiple events. All to be held at Holley's home town track – the historic and beautiful Beech Bend Raceway Park.

Classes:

Bracket/Index Owners of LS-powered rides will no doubt be interested in racing in the LS Index class. This class is open to all LS-powered entries. So work on those reaction times and practice cutting those lights.

Corvette shootout

It doesn’t matter if it’s a C1 or a ZR-1, if it’s got a LS engine-bring it! Whether it’s boosted, sprayed or naturally aspirated-you’ll find good competition. What could be better than ripping through the traps at red-line? DOT-legal tires, working lights; horns and other street-oriented safety equipment will be required.

2010 Camaro heads up

Since its debut, the fifth-generation Camaro has captured the performance scene by storm. This class will give 2010 Camaro owners an opportunity to find out who has the baddest of the bad. Details will be released soon but expect to see some of the most modified Camaros on the planet to battle it out in September.

True Street

True Street is a heads up class designed for fast street cars. All entries will participate in a 30-mile cruise, and then head back to Beech Bend to make some passes down the racetrack. DOT-legal tires, working lights; horns and other street-oriented safety equipment will be required.

All Motor

No juice. No boost. The All-Motor class is all about making serious power the old-fashioned way - with cubic inches and RPM. You know, just like the big boys in Pro Stock. Must be 370 to 470 cid and weighing 3,000 to 3,350 lbs. Bolt on some 28.5X10.5's, check out the rules, and you're ready to go.

TT5 or 275

This one will separate the men from the boys. Blowers, turbos, nitrous, N/A...doesn’t matter. If you think you have what it takes to put it down on small rubber (True Ten Five or 275), this will be the place to show it.

Outlaw Radial

This is the place for the "baddest of the bad" to prove that they can put down massive power on Drag Radial tires. Rules will allow a range of different combos, so if you have an Outlaw Radial car, you can run here.

Unlimited

This class is just as the name implies as Holley intends to find the baddest LS powered car on the planet! You think you have a fast LS powered ride? This is the class to prove it. Rules are simple, LS power, doors and required safety equipment for the ET run. Other than that, just "bring it".

GM High Tech Performance Magazine & NOS - Shut Your Face Race
It’s time to stop all of the message board trash talking and put your money where your mouth is…we want the fastest nitrous-injected LS cars to come show their stuff and go for the nitrous record in Bowling Green, Kentucky this September. GM High-Tech Performance magazine and Nitrous Oxide Systems have laid down the gauntlet to see who will answer the call. A short list of rules keeps this competition wide open, so don’t miss out on your chance to be immortalized in the pages of GMHTP and win a nitrous kit from NOS that can help you come back even stronger next year…not to mention the ultimate prize–bragging rights! Who will get greedy with the juice? Who will put it on the bumper? Who will be crowned the LS Nitrous King? All these questions and more will be answered at the Holley LS Fest.

The LSFest is now a qualifier for the Optima USCI per the website:

"Another brief update- The LS Fest Autocross event counts as a qualifier for the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. The USCI is an invitational only event and this year’s LS Fest is one of the few events that can qualify a car and its owner for entry (only one entrant will be invited from LS Fest). USCI, which is sponsored by K&N, Optima, and Ridetech, is “…an event designed to give builders and owners of some of the world’s most awesome street driven cars the opportunity to show off their stuff on a closed circuit professional road-racing course.” Visit their site, www.optimainvitational.com (http://www.optimainvitational.com), for more information."

This going to be a cool event.

I also got word that I will have 4 or 5 cars being delivered to my shop from California to get prepped for the event. Should be an interesting week and weekend.

Dont suppose you would be available for tuning Mike? Course would be paying. Car is tuned with HP but needs some tweaking. Would have laptop, wideband in car so maybe do some driving around town? Just curious as im sure you will be busy.
