McGuard or anything Summitt,

I'm looking for real world users,

Gotcha...you may want to look into having something custom made.

Maybe you could get a set of these, whack off the tips, finish smooth, and rechrome them... (?)

I'm not sure what size you need, just found one as a sample....

They also have open ones available, but I didn't find deep ones...

I have some Gorilla, they take a beating, and their plating has lasted years. did not find any open ones of theirs, they
may have the 'tuner' style lugs with an open end... (?)

I use McGuard's with my Fikse's and haven't had any issues with them. They claim to be Made in the USA so, if they offer something that works with your set up, get some.

I have to look into the McGuards, just have to figure out weather to cut the studs down alittle.

Will at Fikse, told me hw had it both ways on his black 68, and short studs an full lugs looked best!

I would rather mod the lug nuts than the studs, getting the first thread to engage properly is a bee-yoch. Now, imagine that x20 every time you rotate the tires..... :machine:
Try cutting one extra stud on your workbench, and see how much re-shaping it takes to get lug-nuts to engage properly, then decide.

I've never had a problem facing a bolt after cutting, then getting a nut to thread,

but it's good to keep in mind, thanks
