I seen this car in the last issue of PHR. I was wondering if you seen the car in person and if so, was that blue with black stripes too dark together or was it just right. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am painting a chevelle with this color setup and I don't want it to be just too dark.
Thanks for your help, Brent

It was dark since its was a darker blue and black.. but it looks very nice.. It is more of a personal preferece if you like a darker or lighter look. The black stripes have a little bit of pearl in them. Robert Wilson does post on here so maybe he will chime in.
How it looks in the pics is pretty much how it looks in person. The only reason I don't do black stripes is because EVERYONE does black stripes.. it think it is one place that you can mix it up a bit.
Did that help?

Steve thanks for your honest answer.
I failed to mention that I am trying to please! (Meet in the middle?) The other half that is helping finance this project. I personally wanted to go with white stripes with pearl and no vinyl top. But she thinks that it looks more like a malibu? You got me. So I am trying to make us both happy. Like the saying goes " if the Wife is happy so is everyone else! " No it isn't that bad but I want her to be happy with it too. So, I figured If I had to run a vinyl top It would have to have black stripes. The color that we both liked was this corvette blue. But with white stripes it would look awesome but with a top and black stripes I thought it would be too dark.
Thanks again, Brent
