I will be long-hauling the WHOLE way! I'll be driving a 1970 Monte Carlo Convertible. We will be in Tallahassee on Thursday June 10.

Hope to see you there!

I and 2 other cars will be going from Milwaukee to Indy as well. This will be the first time since I have owned it that the Tempest will be out of the state on Iowa, should be a good time, working like crazy trying to get her ready for the ride.

Try this web address. Chuck posted some pictures of my car on his website.

There are 2 sets of pictures with different wheels. One set are old cast American Torque Thrusts. The other set are 17 inch front/18 inch Rear Billet Specialty "Vintecs". I have made several more changes to the car. I will run the Power Tour with the "Vintecs". Much more of a "Pro-Touring" look which is what "I" like!

Were you here at the Grand Run in April with that car?

I Long Hauled it last year and will "Short Haul" it this year. I'm going as far as Nashville. Chevellabration is in Nashville that weekend. I may drive to Birmingham Wednesday and return to Nashville later that night. Depends on how much sprucing up the El Camino will need to get ready for Chevellabration.

I'm planning on doing the long haul again this year, but in the 69 this time. I'll be rolling with the Year One group, so look for my car at their booth.

dreading that initial drive from Texas to Wisconsin, but the trip will be worth it.

I will be joining in Tallahassee with my buddy Tom. We are currently set to take the 69 Corvette, but may swap out last second and do the 69 Camaro. Kind of on the fence with that.

Will be rolling into Tallahassee around noonish on Thursday June 9.

My cell is 904-502-7026.

Hope to hook up with some of you guys, and I especially want to get a look under the hood of Nineball's ride.

Just can't decide which car.....

I want to see that Vette in person too!

Leaving this Thursday for Wisconsin. I'll be rolling alongside another 1st gen camaro (68 RS/SS convertible, red with white stripes). That one has a magnacharged LS1 under the hood as well. :D

Okay, that's cool. The Vette aka "Killer" was our first choice because we didn't think the Camaro would be ready yet. Just flogging out some details on the LS1 swap in the Camaro now trying to get it road worthy.

I am picking up the tour in Tallahassee on Thurs, and taking it down. This is the maiden voyage (long trip)for my car. It was originally raced for two years, then put in storage until it was first titled and registered in 2004.

Man, I would love to see that Vette, also. :icon996:

I am planning on going to the Tallahasse stop and had a couple of questions. If I only go to that stop, do I have to register to get my car in the "show" and what time would be a good time to show up (I live 2 hours away)? Any info would be appreicated.

You have to register to be part of the group and meet up at the fairgrounds. It is $53 or so to do it on line. You will have to pick up your papers and registration at the fair grounds.

It looks like the malibu will be completely finished this week. If all goes well, I will meet the tour in Nashville. Not sure I can go all the way south, but will ride along for at least a day or two. The car needs a good shakedown run before the event here in a couple weeks anyway. Maybe we can all get together in Nashville or Birmingham?

Just got my registration confirmation in the mail.

It advises nobody will be allowed in the cruise-in area before NOON on Thursday. It appears the toure will be coming into Tallahassee around 1 or later on Thursday. We are shooting to roll in around noon, check it all out, get our registration packet and find a place to park, etc.

So far the Vette votes are ahead of the Camaro. The 9" gave up in the Camaro last weekend and it is on jack stands at the moment anyway. Don't know if the chunk will be repaired and ready to go in by then at this rate.

For those of you making the drive to Indy Raceway Park on Monday and spending the day there what is to be expected throughout the day there? About when do you think cars will be arriving and when will it start to get "hoppin"? How Late will the activities be going? I plan on making the drive down for the day and planned on getting there around 12:30-1:00

I'm driving down to Indy for the afternoon, probably be there around 1:00 or 2:00. I imagine the activities will go until at least 8 or 9. Can't wait to see all the bad a@% cars I have read about on this site and in the magazines. Judging from the number of cars expected this year, I better buy another memory card for my digital camera!

Same here Nathan! We're joining up with the Tour in Indy around 1p-2p and will be following it all the way to the end. I just ordered a 2nd memory stick for my digi-cam yesterday! My digi-cam also accepts 1.44Mb floppies so I think I'll bring a box just in case........

the venues typically start clearing out around 6-7 pm. So, figure noon to 6pm and you will see the gathering.

After 6pm, everyone leaves to go check into their hotel for the night, and meets up at dinner and maybe cruises the town they are in.

Ok, I am going on the trip also. I should be leaving MO Fri AM. I am taking the Camaro instead of the 58 Nomad. I was planning on taking the 58 up until yesterday. :ripped: Due to alignment issues on the 58, I am not taking it. :candle: I am now thrashing on the 69 trying to get it ready to roll! I am supposed to get a Locker on the doorstep tomorrow and need to set it up in a different 3rd member and put it in tomorrow night. :help: Hopefully all will go good and I can make it to Wisconsin and down to Fla and back to MO without major (or any :lmao: for that matter) problems.
Say a little prayer for Jimmy and his pregnant wifey! :fingersx:
