I'm saying that since that movie was basically sponsored by GM (the only non-GM was a bad guy mustang) that maybe somebody had some idea of what was going to happen to Pontiac. No not really. But it made me sad when Jazz was being carried back by Iron Sides. I got like that during Titanic when the band was going their seperate ways to die and the one guy kept playing so the other guys came back and played again and when the wolf wouldn't run away in Dances with Wolves and when Old Yeller got shot - give me a minute. Tito I need a tissue.

actually, the cop car wasn't a Mustang- it was a Saleen..
Ford didn't want their good name associated with being the bad guy in a movie where all the good guys were GM products, but Steve Saleen didn't have that kind of moral dilemma..

And the one doing more than half the driving in the first movie was actually a re-skinned pontiac because they didn't have the mustangs or saleens ready in time for production.
