i am looking to set up an oil cooler for my 555 bbc, dart block, dart 355 cnc heads and 12.3 to 1 comp. and 4.11 gears, it is a street and strip car which gets street miles which include cruise nights and long highway runs. the oil temp will get up to 255 degrees and the water temp will be at 190 - 200. questions are should i use a t-stat like one of these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CTR-22-480/ (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CTR-22-480/) or http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-504ERL/ (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-504ERL/) ? should i use -10 (.563 i.d.) or -12 (.688 i.d.) lines? the earls adapter / t-stat can be fitted with -10 o-ring to -12 male fittings. also do i have to use a huge big $ cooler for the h.p. level or can i get away with a medium size one since there isn't anything there now? so many choices i am getting slightly https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/08/eusa_wall-1.gif . thanks in advance.
