the previous owner did some lame plates to hold the engine mounts for the 383 chevy stroker i got right now.
the frame is the original 69 firebird frame but the mounts are 2nd gen mounts.
what i want to know is the 69 camaro has the exact frame? if it does how do i mount the mounts on the properly and not with half bolted plates... the engine block is from 85 but if i change the mounts of the frame and the block it should line up properly?

this is how it looks right now.

i can't take them off because the frame is already on the car.

i was hoping someone has the knowledge to help.

can i retrofit 69 mounts to newer block for sure?

Same subframe is used for Firebird and Camaro. The Chevy mounts should bolt right on.

i prefer my chevy 383 stroker :)
the other thing i didn't get an answer for does the other side of the mounts, the part that attach to the engine block can bolt to a 85 350 block the same as 69 350 block?
