Have you guys ever heard of getting motor oil in the radiator? It's not tranny fluid because it doesn't have a cooler built in. The motor is a old 300 horse 327 in a 57 chevy. Oil is clean and doesn't have any coolant in it.

Try pulling the oil filler cap or PCV valve (If that old motor has one in the valve cover) and see if any condensation is present. (If water gets into the motor, it will leave condensation that will be visible at the highest point). I personally have not seen oil in the radiator unless it had an oil cooler in the radiator (I had a 2002 GMC Yukon Denali that busted the oil cooler in the radiator and made a big mess and had to fix that and then replace all rubber hoses). My suggestion is to get a cylinder leak down tool where you fill the cylinders with air and record the % drop in each cylinder. This will identify where your problem is and you should be able to hear the air escape into the radiator. My suspicion would be a head gasket. Are you running aluminum heads? I know some racers that carry several cans of “Barr’s Stop-Leak” for their motors, but luckily I have not had any problems yet.
