I have a part in Solidworks. I need to convert it to dxf to send to the the cutter. can someone do this for me? I am using 2010 but can save in earlier years if needed. PM email address. the file is 728kb so emailing it shouldn't be an issue.
the service packs wont work on my copy. I must have a limited copy. A fellow in class gave it to me so I took it.

If you have SW2010 you can do it yourself just put the part in a drawing, choose what views you want and export the dxf

You can also save flat patterns directly to a DXF from the part under "Save As" (without the drawing).

thanks for the help. Never thought about saving in the 2D drawing. I still cant save to dxf in the 3D model view, just in the plan/ sheet view.
You learn something everyday.
thanks again.
