I'm looking for a hydroboost system for my 72 442 and saw that Tallon Hydraulics makes a complete kit with everything to install. Has anyone used them before and how do they compare to say a Hydratech system?

Also curious about this, except for a '66 Chevelle. It's a little cheaper system and it sounds like hydroboost systems are fairly simple. What makes one hydraboost system 'better' than another, other that quality of parts, completeness of kit and ease of installation? I've read about people using hydroboost systems off an Astro van and loving the results so I imagine the value is in the complete, bolt-in kit? Am I way off base here?

first off, tallon's shown price is a rebuilt unit, so add $100 for new unit, add another $25 for booster rod and return spring not installed, and only comes with fittings to work with oem pump installed originally, not later style pumps unless you ask for them, which unless you know what you need exactly you may not get the correct fittings. pedal rod is universal with adapter to fit multiple applications. It lists a hose kit, but does not specify whether base hose is plain hydraulic hose or TFE. I have not dealet with tallon so I do not know about there customer support, but a 10 page google search did not yield much

with Hydratech, all units are NEW, includes correct booster rod and return spring already installed, comes with fittings to work with ANY pump on the market so no hunting around for correct fittings. Correct pedal rod hook up for specific vehicle application, and comes standard with Aeroquip TFE high pressure hoses. I do know Paul's customer support is an email away and system knowledge is second to none if you do have an issue. Same google search yielded lots of reviews

I have purchased a system from Tallon for my Chevelle. It was a great deal 825.00 with a Wilwood master polished finish and a new hydroboost. And to top it off it was shipped for free.

Hmmm...well, I have not used one of Pauls kits yet but he has been more than helpful about answering questions I have had regarding various brake combinations so i would be very confident with his customer service and that is extremely important when it comes to custom applications-that goes a long way too.
